On December 5, 2022, at the Istituto Treccani, one of Rome’s most prestigious venues, Di Scala celebrated the release of his latest book, L’uomo che fece il fascismo: Mussolini e l’ascesa del populismo. (English edition forthcoming in 2023.) In attendance were Di Scala; Giuliano Amato, former Prime Minister and retired President of the Constitutional Court; Paolo Massa, head of libraries in Italy and chief of the Archives of the Chamber of Deputies; and Maria Salvati, emeritus professor at the University of Bologna.
